For over 20 years the Santa Barbara Symphony’s New Year’s Eve Pops concert has been the central celebration point for the Santa Barbara Community and our many guests from out of town. This concert is a musical party where every audience member leaves the hall lobby full of energy. It’s fun. It’s light. It’s joyous. Our concert, from 8:30-10:30pm, leaves time for a pre-concert dinner celebration with friends and family at home or in one of Santa Barbara Downtown’s great restaurants. Then, after the concert get home and ring in the New Year in the comfort of your own home, or go out to your party to celebrate the old and bring in the New Year with friends.
On the podium, this coming New Year’s Eve will be guest conductor Robert Bernhardt, who is in his 29th season as the Principal Pops Director of the Louisville Orchestra and the conductor of the Chattanooga Symphony. Just last season Maestro Bernhardt conducted the Boston Pops – American’s premiere Pops orchestra.
